Cherish the Children

Patrick Rafter Cherish the Children was formed in 1999, when Patrick donated $180 000 from his earnings in the Australian Open to help the next generation. With the help of his sister Louise and mother Jocelyn, the Foundation has a great support group.

Patrick Rafter Cherish the Children aims to create awareness of and to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children. The foundation strives to bring hope and care to disadvantaged children. This encompasses the emotionally, mentally and or physically challenged children 18 years or younger.

The foundation supports charities that are often overlooked and dear to Patrick's heart. In Pat's own words "I wanted to set up a foundation so that I could help bring awareness, happiness and hope back into a child's life. Even if it's only a small contribution, so long as it's positive, it's worthwhile".
